Volunteer with Mlinda Charitable Trust

Volunteers play an important role in extending the reach and impact of our programmes. Whether you can contribute a few weeks or several months, your time helps strengthen clean energy adoption, sustainable farming practices, and livelihood opportunities for rural households across Gumla and neighbouring districts.

Volunteering with MCT is a chance to work directly with communities, field teams, and local partners — gaining firsthand insight into grassroots development while making a meaningful contribution to our mission.

How You Can Contribute

  • Community outreach and awareness activities in project villages
  • Support for training sessions, workshops, and farmer group meetings
  • Documentation, photography, and storytelling from the field
  • Assistance with programme administration and data collection

Who Can Volunteer

We welcome individuals from diverse backgrounds — students, professionals, retirees, and anyone with a genuine interest in rural development and environmental sustainability. No prior field experience is required, though relevant skills in communications, agriculture, energy, or social work are valued.

Location & Commitment

Most volunteer placements are based at our Gumla field office with travel to project areas. We offer flexible commitments — from short-term assignments to longer engagements. Accommodation support may be available for outstation volunteers; please mention your needs in the application.
